Artisan Festival of Fine Arts and Fine Crafts.
Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Community Complex (Fairgrounds) 1398 Livingston Road, northeast of Highway 70 N (West Avenue.)
Held annually, artisans exhibit and demonstrate their skills and attendees admire the work and discuss techniques and procedures of the craft. The sound and sight of musicians and performers inspire and excite the audience. The walls of the exhibit buildings are lined with white pegboard, providing ample hanging space for paintings, tapestries, wooden objects, fabric pieces. Tables are filled with fine art and hand crafted pieces such as wood carving, pottery, baskets, woven pieces. Educational demonstrations fill the exhibit hall with spinning, weaving, quilting, wood carving, glass blowing, chair caning, beading, rug hooking.

Hundreds of visual art pieces selected by art teachers are exhibited. School bands and individual students perform. Hands-on experiences are provided by art and craft guilds offering opportunities for students to spin, weave, quilt, paint, write, hook rugs, bobbin lace, play dulcimers.
Studio Tours: Sunday afternoons in July 2008 will provide opportunities for patrons to see artisans at work inside their studios.
Sunday, July 6: Western Cumberland County (including Pleasant Hill)
Sunday, July 13: Northwest Cumberland County (including Cumberland Cove)
Sunday, July 20: Northeast Cumberland County (including Fairfield Glade area)
Sunday, July 27: Central & Southern Cumberland County (Crossville, Tansi, Homestead, Crab Orchard)
CACE at City Hall: During February & March 2008, CACE artisans will exhibit works at Crossville City Hall, 99 Municipal Street, Crossville TN.
CACE at County Fair: During August 2008, CACE will coordinate art/craft demonstrations during the Cumberland County Fair.
